Representatives of administration, research institutions, financial institutions, industry and business signed on Tuesday in Warsaw a sector agreement for the development of the biogas and biomethane sector. The main objective is to use the Polish potential in this area.

Artur Zawisza, President of the Union of Producers and Employers of Biogas Industry, said that biogas and biomethane could become the banners of effective energy transformation. Whether they will become so depends on the implementation of the sectoral agreement - he added. As he reminded, biogas and biomethane are unique and unrepeatable when compared to the entire RES sector: they are stable sources, produce non-stop, avoid emissions, and the biogas energy sector is dispersed.
